Mr. Barrows has over 26
years of experience in the oil and gas industry and has been working in the
Caspian Region since 1998.
With a BS in Business
Administration and an MBA, he worked at Texaco for 19 years and held various
positions at trading and transportation subsidiaries then served as Director of
Business Development when he set up the initial export routes for the North Buzachi
field in Kazakhstan and as a Director of a crude oil transportation joint
venture in Azerbaijan and Georgia.
From January 2003 through
July 2006, he was the Director of Supply and Logistics at PetroKazakhstan and
was responsible for refinery supply arrangements plus the logistics of crude
oil and refined products.
From October 2006 through
2008, he served in senior advisory roles at the Karachaganak joint venture in
Kazakhstan and at AES Kazakhstan.
Since January 2009, he has
been the Director of Marketing and Business Development for the Max Petroleum
Group of Companies in Kazakhstan.
