·        Was responsible for the crude oil supply purchases at company refinery for 2 years (prior to tolling implementation).

·        Managed a department of over 500 people at multiple locations and an annual budget of $ 250 million.

·        Was responsible for the procurement, tendering, and contracting for equipment, goods and services required for work scope.

·        Was responsible for the management of company’s rail car fleet that was increased from less than 500 cars to over 5000 in two years including the purchase of 900 rail cars.  The fleet was one of the largest private fleets operating in the FSU.

·        Negotiated export rail tariff rate discounts that reduced route costs by 26% in Kazakhstan and by similar amounts in Russia.

·        Negotiated 6-year exclusive arrangements at Aktau facilities that reduced Aktau transhipment costs by over 40%.

·        Reduced operating costs on the company’s 177 km (16 inch) export pipeline by 20% after 1 year and by 47% after 2 years.

Developed and operated the initial crude oil export routes from Texaco’s North Buzachi field in western Kazakhstan.

·        Negotiated the initial crude oil processing agreement at an adjacent field.

·        Worked with London Trading staff to generate the commercially-optimal export blend and grow the Caspian trading book by augmenting equity volumes through the acquisition of crude oil along the export routes.

·        Created a $ 5 million / year crude oil blending and storage business in Illinois that used 3rd party and 100% owned facilities.

·        Worked on the analysis and creation of a market-based quality bank for the Poseidon Oil Pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico.

·        Worked with the company’s marketing unit to analyze and perform location trades on various pipeline systems.

·        Designed and developed computer systems for Texaco’s crude oil trading and transportation businesses.
