Nicole Cooke was born on April 13, 1983.

The British rider had significant success in the Olympics and World Championships including a rare Olympic Road Race / World Championship Road Race double in the same year. The only other person to do this is Marianne Vos in 2012.

Cooke won the 2008 Olympic Road Race in front of Emma Johansson of Sweden and Tatiana Guderzo of Italy.

Cooke also won the 2008 World Championship Road Race that same year in front of Marianne Vos of the Netherlands and Judith Arndit of Germany.

Cook was 2nd in the 2005 World Championship Road Race behind Regina Schleicher of Germany.

Cooke was also 3rd in the 2003 World Championship Road Race behind Susanne Ljungskog of Sweden and Mirjam Melchers of the Netherlands.

In addition, Cooke was 3rd in the 2006 World Championship Road Race behind Marianne Vos of the Netherlands and Trixi Worrack of Germany.
