Beryl Burton was born on May 12, 1937. She died on May 5, 1996.

The British rider was a double world road race champion.

Burton won the 1960 World Championship Road Race in front of Rosa Sels of Belgium and Elisabeth Kleinhaus of Germany.

Burton also won the 1967 World Championship Road Race in front of Lyubov Zadorojnala of the Soviet Union and Anna Konkina of the Soviet Union.

In addition, Burton was 2nd in the 1961 World Championship Road Race behind Yvonne Reynders of Belgium.
