Genevieve Gambillon was born on June 30, 1951.

The French rider was a double world road race champion.

Gambillon won the 1972 World Championship Road Race in front of Lyubov Zadorojnala of the Soviet Union and Anna Konkina of the Soviet Union.

Gambillon also won the 1974 World Championship Road Race in front Bayba Tsaune of the Soviet Union and Keetie Van Oosten-Hage of the Netherlands.

In addition, Gambillon was 2nd in the 1975 World Championship Road Race behind Tineke Fopma of the Netherlands.
