Octave Lapize was born on October 24, 1887. He died on July 14, 1917.

The French rider won the Tour de France.

He was also the first three-time winner of the Paris-Roubaix Classic.

Lapize won the 1910 Tour de France in front of Francois Faber of Luxembourg and Gustave Garrigou of France.

Lapize won the 1909 Paris-Roubaix Classic in front of Louis Trousselier of France and Jules Masselis of Belgium.

Lapize won the 1910 Paris-Roubaix Classic in front of Cyrille Van Hauwaert of Belgium and Eugene Christophe of France.

Lapize won the 1911 Paris-Roubaix Classic in front of Andre Charpiot of France and Cyrille Van Hauwaert of Belgium.
