Rolf Sorensen was born on April 20, 1965.

The Danish rider won two of the five monuments in cycling and stood on the podium of the Olympic Road Race.

Sorensen won the Liege-Bastogne-Liege Classic in 1993.

He also won the Tour of Flanders Classic in 1997.

In addition, Sorensen was 2nd in the 1996 Olympic Road Race behind Pascal Richard of Switzerland.
