Faustino Ruperez was born on July 29, 1956.The Spanish rider won
one of the Grand Tour events.
He also placed in the World Championship Road Race.
Ruperez won the 1980 Vuelta a Espana in front of Pedro Torres of Spain and Claude Criquelion of Belgium.
Ruperez was also 4th in the 1983 World Championship Road Race behind Greg Lemond of the USA, Adri Van Der Poel of Holland, and Stephen Roche of Ireland.
