Massimo Strazzer is a former professional cyclist who was born in Zevio, Italy, on August 17, 1969. At the age of five, he began cycling and at the age of six, he began racing. In 1991, he turned professional and joins the Jolly Componibili-Club.

Over his career, Strazzer competed in numerous cycling competitions, including the Giro d’Italia, Tour de France, and Vuelta a España. He participated in eight editions of the Giro d’Italia and finished in the top five in 1998, his finest year. In 2001, he won the Giro d’Italia’s points classification and intergiro competition for his greatest achievement. In addition, he won other stages in other races, including Tirreno–Adriatico, Portugal-Rundfahrt, and Bayern-Rundfahrt.

Despite his achievements, Strazzer experienced career obstacles. In 1997, he began the Tour de France but was unable to complete it. In addition, he tested positive for EPO at the 2001 Track Cycling World Championships in Antwerp, but was eventually exonerated because the B-sample revealed a value below the threshold.

2004 marked the end of Strazzer’s 14-year professional cycling career.
