Jean Aerts was born on September 8, 1907. He died on June 15, 1992.

The Belgian rider won the World Championship Road Race.

He also stood on the podium of the Paris-Roubaix Classic.

Aerts won the 1935 World Championship Road Race in front of Luciano Montero of Spain and Gustaf Danneels of Belgium.

Aerts was also third in the 1935 Paris-Roubaix Classic behind Gaston Rebry of Belgium and Andre Leducq of France.
