Claudio Michelotto, born in Trento on 31 October 1942, is a former competitive Italian road race cyclist. From 1966 until 1973, he participated as a professional rider. Michelotto won his first professional race in 1968, defeating Italo Zilioli, Rudi Altig, and Franco Bitossi to win the Tirreno–Adriatico. He also won the Coppa Agostoni during the same year.
In 1969, Michelotto achieved his greatest success, winning the Giro di Sardegna, the Trofeo Laigueglia (beating Eddy Merckx and Franco Bitossi), and the Milan-Turin race. He won a stage of the Giro d’Italia and the mountain classification in the same race, besting Italo Zilioli and Felice Gimondi. Ten days in total, he wore the leader’s pink jersey in the Giro, a race in which he participated six times.
Michelotto won Giro di Campania in 1971, defeating Patrick Sercu and Marino Basso. The following year, he won a Tour de Suisse stage and placed second in the Coppa Agostoni. He won nine races throughout his professional career.
Over his career, Michelotto was a part of numerous teams, including Sanson, Max Meyer, SCIC, G.B.C.-Zimba, and Bianchi–Campagnolo.
