Pedro Delgado was born on April 15, 1960.

The Spanish rider won the Tour de France once and the Vuelta a Espana twice.

He also stood on the podium of the Tour de France another two times.

In addition, he stood on the podium of the Vuelta a Espana another three times.

Delgado won the 1988 Tour de France in front of Steven Rooks of Holland and Fabio Parra of Colombia.

Delgado was also 2nd in the 1987 Tour de France behind Stephen Roche of Ireland in 1987.

In addition, Delgado was 3rd in the 1989 Tour de France behind Greg Lemond of the United States and Laurent Fignon of France.


Delgado won the 1985 Vuelta a Espana in front of Robert Millar of Great Britain and Pacho Rodriguez of Colombia.

Delgado also won the 1989 Vuelta a Espana in front of Fabio Parra and Oscar Vargas of Colombia.

Delgado was 2nd in the 1990 Vuelta a Espana behind Marco Giovannetti of Italy.

Delgado was also 3rd in the 1992 Vuelta a Espana behind Tony Rominger of Switzerland and Jesus Montoya of Spain.

In addition, Delgado was 3rd in 1994 Vuelta a Espana behind Tony Rominger and Spaniard Mikel Zarrabeitia.
