Gustaf Danneels was born on September 6, 1913. He died on April 13, 1976.

The Belgian rider twice stood on the podium of the World Championship Road Race.

Danneels was 3rd in the 1934 World Championship Road Race behind Karel Kaers of Belgium and Learco Uerra of Italy.

Danneels was also 3rd in the 1935 World Championship Road Race behind Jean Aerts of Belgium and Luciano Montero of Spain.
